Player Bio
As a talented junior out west, Jayda's talent was apparent as she quickly rose through the ranks and got offered a scholarship from the Centre of Excellence.
As a junior she represented Australia in a number of international tournaments including the 2023 U19 World Cup before forgoing the US NCAA pathway to sign with the UC Capitals ahead of the 2023/24 WNBL season. Jayda said she was drawn to the Capitals because of the team's rich history and all the legendary player that have donned the club's colours.
In 21 games, Jayda averaged 4.6 points and 2 rebounds per game and was primed to be one of the team's key young pieces heading into the 24/25 season however, she tore her ACL playing for the Perry Lakes Hawks in the NBL1 West, ruling her out for the WNBL season.
She rebounded strong in the 2025 NBL1 West season for the Hawks, helping the team to the preliminary final, setting her up for a bounce back second season with the Capitals.
Off the court, Jayda is also enrolled as a student at the University of Canberra, studying secondary teaching, and she hopes she can be an inspiration to young people both on and off the court.
