The UC Capitals hosted their final Business Network event of the year at Two Before Ten in Aranda, bringing together partners, supporters and athletes for a relaxed yet meaningful celebration of connection and culture.
The venue curated a vibrant international brunch spread inspired by the Capitals’ global roster, with dishes reflecting the backgrounds of Nicole Munger, Kadi Sissoko and Teige Morrell.
Attendees heard directly from the three international players, who spoke candidly about the paths that led them to Australia and the challenges woven through their careers. From navigating homesickness and shifting across continents, to embracing new cultures, leagues and expectations, each athlete offered a unique and honest perspective on the realities behind professional sport.
For the Caps’ valued network of sponsors and partners, the brunch served as a chance to look beyond the game and understand the people wearing the jersey. The event highlighted the broader purpose of the Business Network—creating spaces where relationships can deepen and where supporters can feel meaningfully connected to the club’s mission and its athletes.
The morning concluded with gratitude from the UC Capitals for the ongoing support of their business community, whose backing continues to play a vital role in elevating women’s basketball in Canberra.
