The University of Canberra Capitals are delighted to announce the renewal of their partnership with Gerald Slaven, who will continue as the Club's Exclusive Automotive Partner for the 2026/27 WNBL season.
Now entering its fourth season, the partnership reflects a shared commitment to supporting the Canberra community and helping local sport thrive. As one of the ACT's leading automotive dealerships, Gerald Slaven continues to play an important role in ensuring Capitals players and staff can focus on performing at their best both on and off the court.
As part of the partnership, Gerald Slaven will once again provide a fleet of six new vehicles for Capitals players and staff throughout the season, supporting the team's travel requirements across Canberra while delivering comfort, convenience and reliability.
UC Capitals Executive General Manager, Christy Collier-Hill, said Gerald Slaven had become a trusted and highly valued member of the Capitals family.
"Gerald Slaven has been an incredible partner over the past few seasons, and we're thrilled to continue building on that relationship," Collier-Hill said.
"Their support extends well beyond providing vehicles. They genuinely believe in what we're building at the Capitals and share our commitment to strengthening our community and creating opportunities for women and girls through sport.
"Having reliable transport is something many people take for granted, but for professional athletes relocating to Canberra it's an essential part of helping them settle into a new city and perform at their best. Gerald Slaven plays an important role in making that possible."
Gerald Slaven Dealer Principal, Adam Clearihan, said the dealership was proud to continue supporting one of Canberra's most iconic sporting organisations.
"The Capitals represent excellence, resilience and community, and those are values that strongly align with our business," Clearihan said.
"We're proud to continue supporting the Club and its athletes while playing a small part in their success both on and off the court. Supporting local sport is incredibly important to us, and we're excited to continue this partnership for another season."
The partnership also continues to deliver value for Capitals members and supporters through Gerald Slaven's exclusive Starting Five member offer. Full-season UC Capitals members will once again receive access to exclusive savings of up to $1,000 on eligible new and used vehicles purchased through Gerald Slaven.
"One of the things we love most about this partnership is that the benefits extend beyond our team," Collier-Hill said.
"Our members are at the heart of everything we do, so it's fantastic that Gerald Slaven continues to reward their loyalty with such a generous offer. We always encourage our community to support the businesses that support women's sport, and we know anyone visiting the Gerald Slaven team will be exceptionally well looked after."
Gerald Slaven operates dealerships in Belconnen and Phillip, representing leading automotive brands including Ford, Volkswagen, GMSV and Chery.
The renewed partnership forms part of the Capitals' growing commercial network as the Club prepares for another exciting WNBL season.
