The UC Capitals are thrilled to welcome Canberra local and Capitals legend Nat Hurst back as Lead Assistant Coach for the 2026/27 WNBLseason.

A seven-time WNBL champion with the Capitals and one of Australia's most decorated basketball players, Hurst returned to Canberra last season and will once again work alongside Head Coach Paul Goriss as the club continues its pursuit of championship success.

Hurst will also continue in her role as the Clubs Community Coach, working with young athletes across the region.

UC Capitals Executive General Manager Christy Collier-Hill said Hurst's connection to the club made her an invaluable part of the program.

"Nat embodies everything the Caps stand for. As a Canberra local, a club legend and an exceptional coach, she has an incredible ability to connect with our athletes and help them reach their potential. We're delighted to have her back for another season."

Hurst said she was excited to continue giving back to the club that played such an important role in her career.

"The Capitals have always been home for me, so it's a privilege to continue working with this group. We have an exciting roster coming together and I'm looking forward to helping our players develop and giving our fans plenty to cheer about this season."
