The UC Capitals are proud to continue their partnership with Accelerate Physiotherapy for a third consecutive season, strengthening a shared commitment to delivering an elite high-performance environment for the Capitals’ athletes.
The partnership continues to evolve as the Capitals build on their high-performance program, with Accelerate Physiotherapy providing specialist expertise across injury prevention, recovery and performance throughout the WNBL season.
“We’re incredibly proud to continue our partnership with the UC Capitals for a third year and to be part of what we believe is the best high-performance team in the league.
“Sport is a huge part of who we are at Accelerate, and we love bringing our expertise in physiotherapy and performance to the Caps program. We’re excited for another season supporting the team and being part of the Caps family.”
Accelerate Physiotherapy Clinical Director Will Maher will continue in his role as the Capitals’ Head of High Performance, working closely with the club’s coaching, strength and conditioning and medical teams to support athletes through the demands of a professional basketball season.
While Accelerate Physiotherapy Managing Director Jen Maher works as Athlete Coordinator to ensure players have the support they need to stay healthy, recover well and perform at their best throughout the season.
For the Capitals, the continued partnership provides stability and expertise as the club continues to invest in creating an environment where athletes can perform at their best.
“Having Accelerate, and Will and Jen, as part of our program for a third season is incredibly valuable,” UC Capitals Executive General Manager Christy Collier-Hill said.
“They understand our athletes, our environment and the demands of competing in the WNBL, which allows us to continue building on the strong foundations we’ve established together.
“They’re also incredibly dedicated and committed to the program, and go over and above to give our athletes and broader team the best possible support.
“High performance is about much more than what happens on the court, and having trusted experts like Accelerate supporting our athletes across preparation, recovery and wellbeing is a huge asset to our program.”
As the Capitals prepare for the 2026/27 WNBL season, Accelerate Physiotherapy will continue to work alongside the club to support the health, performance and development of the Capitals’ athletes on their pursuit of another championship.
